Japan’s leading network and IT solutions provider NEC is reportedly planning to buy an IT firm from Australian ICT company CSG Limited''s Technology Solutions business. If reports are to be believed, the proposed deal will close for $252 million.
NEC, which has a long history of providing innovative products and solutions to educational establishments, has recently developed a large range of solutions for smart classrooms and ICT projects.
A person familiar with the matter informed our team that the latest acquisition will offer a complete Technology Solutions business to NEC which will ultimately offer end-to-end IT solutions and services, including managed services, enterprise services and strategic consulting to users.
Analysts suggest, the latest acquisition by NEC will offer the capabilities to successfully compete for some of Australia''s largest information and communications technology contracts.
The acquisition, which is still waiting for board’s approval is expected to be finalized within next two months.
