According to a latest update, telecom equipment maker Nokia Siemens Networks has bagged big contracts from Indian railways. Reports revealed nearly Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has bagged Rs 200 crore of contracts from Indian railways.
It is reportedly said that Nokia-Siemens Network has to supply network gear to Indian Railways.
To rewind: The Nokia-Siemens venture was set up in April 2007 to compete against technology firms including Ericsson and Huawei Technologies Co.
With a latest update, the NSN has inked five zonal contracts with Indian Railways to sell network equipment that will enable mobile communication between trains and railway regulation control centers, easy. to the reader's surprise, Indian Railway's network is spread across 3500 kilometer.
