Seems, the handset maker Nokia is looking to grab attention before Apple’s expected iPhone 5 launch on September 12. According to a latest update, Nokia is planning to unveil new Windows Phone 8 powered Lumia devices just a week before Apple’s iPhone 5’s launch.
Reliable sources informed, the next-generation version of Windows Phone will feature a more customizable start screen, enhanced enterprise deployment features, better screen resolution support to encourage device variety and removable SD storage along with new digital Wallet hub and near-field communication.
It is worth noticing, once the world’s largest smartphone maker, Nokia is struggling hard to maintain prominence in a world dominated by the iPhone and Google-powered Android devices. Initially, Nokia phones have won some good reviews, but have had relatively little success than numerous Samsung’s Android powered smartphones and Apple’s iPhone available in the market. Slow sales have so far thwarted Nokia's recovery efforts.
Stats revealed, Nokia is expected to report loss of 236 million euros in second quarter from its handset business, while the loss was 127 million in the previous quarter.
However, Nokia’s shares gained 5.7 percent on speculation that the Finnish mobile phone maker could launch new smartphones in early September before Apple unveils a next version of its iPhone.
