As part of Nokia’s ongoing commitment to foster innovation among users, it is all set to announce its new range of Pureview and Lumia series of handsets equipped with advance technology. If reports are to be believed, Nokia’s new handset will be equipped with Superhydrophobic technology.
The Superhydrophobic technology will help Nokia handsets to repel water from its surfaces.
With the use of the new Superhydrophobic technology, Nokia is intending to make its future handsets including Lumia and Pureview Smartphones, waterproof.
Market watchers believe, Nokia''s latest initiative will certainly help the company to take on its rivals. It will not only facilitate Nokia users to use mobiles even when it''s raining hard, but also enhance the life of Nokia devices.
According to Conor Pierce, Vice President at Nokia Western Europe, Superhydrophobic technology makes water bounce or rolls it off the device and leaves the device dry.
However, if users are wondering when this technology on smartphones would be commercially available, the Vice President had not disclose any information regarding the availability.
Seems, users have to wait more to lay hands on waterproof handsets by Nokia.
