Intensifying 3G tariff war further, Reliance Communications (RCom) has announced a set of initiatives to make 3G data usage affordable for all usage segments. According to latest chunk of information, RCom has announced a cut of up to 61 percent in rates, following similar reduction by Airtel and Idea.
Insider's informed, for RCom's 3G services users will now have to pay Rs 250 for high- speed internet usage up to 1 GB and thereafter have to pay 20 paisa for each MB data used. Earlier, the charges for 1GB were Rs 650 and 50 paisa for each MB used thereafter.
As far as the 2GB usage is concerned, RCom's 3G subscribers will now have to pay Rs 450 instead of old rate of Rs 710.
RCom’s new plan would be available in 333 towns across 13 telecom circles where the company has started its 3G services.
As a matter of concern, it is found that Reliance has the strongest unlimited 3G data plan portfolio starting at just Rs. 750 pm and is the only operator to offer unlimited 3G data on the prepaid platform.
Let's hope, the latest move will help Reliance Communication to attract more users to use its 3G services.
