No doubt, Google Inc has turned Android into the most popular operating system for mobile devices but still Apple’s iOS is developers delight. If reports are to be believed, smartphones running on Google's Android operating system outsell iPhones more than two to one. 

Analysts added, Android operating system may surpass Apple in the smartphone arena in any stage, but iOS is just bigger than smartphones. If iPads and iPod Touches are also taken into consideration, it is found, the iOS is supporting an audience of about 200 million users, while Android is supporting just 35 million users. 

More so, iOS is also offering better apps over Google’s Android OS platform. Presently, Apple has more than 550,000 apps in its store as compared with over 400,000 for Google's Android Market. 

According to a recent report, when the number of downloads of top 10 free and top 10 paid applications are matched together, it is observed that only 26 applications are into Android’s credit.  

Hence, it is found, if Google has to prove its hold in society, it has to integrate additional functionality along with improved user’s experience to its operating system.
