A spokesperson from Apple has stated, Mac App Store is the largest and fastest growing PC software store in the world and it is changing the traditional PC software industry.
Earlier in January, Apple launched the Mac App Store as a free download for Mac OS X users, allowing users to examine through free and paid applications and download them to their Apple devices. Interestingly, Mac apps store has touched a benchmark of more than one million downloads within 24 hours of its release.
As per latest information, 70 percent of the revenue generated from paid applications goes to developers while the remaining 30 percent is kept by Apple. A person familiar with the matter informed our team; over $3 billion had been paid to developers since 2008.
