According to a latest update, Samsung's new Galaxy S3 phone has become the fastest selling-pre-order phone of the year. If reports are to be believed, Samsung Electronics Co has received some 9 million pre-orders for its third-generation Galaxy S smartphone from more than 100 global carriers.
To the reader’s surprise, over 800 Carphone shops are planning to stock the phone during its official launch.
The Galaxy S3 is expected to be at least powered by a dual-core processor, but some other rumors are indicating the presence of a quad-core chipset. Besides a powerful processor, it equips a 4.8-inch display and innovative new features such as eye tracking so that the screen stays on while users are looking at it.
It is reportedly said that the new Galaxy S3 will first go on sale on May 29 in Germany before being rolled out to other countries.
The Korean giant Samsung has also announced that the device will be the official phone of the upcoming London Olympics.
Analysts added, Samsung is hoping to strengthen its position in handset market with the latest launch of Galaxy S3 smartphone. However, the real test of Galaxy S III will come, when it hits stores. For that, users have to wait little more.
