Promising more power and better efficiency than its predecessors Galaxy S1and S2 smartphones, Samsung has finally launched Galaxy S3 smartphone in 28 countries including Europe.
Running on Google's Android 4.0( Ice Cream sandwich) operating system and power-packed with 1.4 GHz quad-coreARM Cortex-A9, the new Galaxy S3 boasts a 4.8-inch (12.2 cm) screen, bigger than the 3.5-inch display on the iPhone 4S. In addition, it equips new features such as eye tracking so that the screen stays on while users are looking at it.
It is worth noticing, Samsung Electronics Co has already received nearly 9 million pre-orders for its third-generation Galaxy S3 smartphone from more than 100 global carriers.
As a matter of concern, it is found, Samsung became the world's top smartphone maker in the previous year, backed by strong sales of Galaxy lineups. The South Korea based smartphone maker has sold over 40 million Galaxy smartphones since the model was released back in June 2010.
For pricing, it is reportedly said that a Galaxy S3 model with 16 gigabytes of memory costs up to 189 pounds under a 12-month contract with Vodafone.
Market watchers added, the latest entry by South Korean company will help the company to topple Apple Inc as the world's top smartphone maker.
As far as S3’s India launch is concerned, Indian users have to wait little more as India launch is due on May 31.
