Console Gaming, no doubt is reaching considerable heights with people developing passion for gaming. Acknowledging this, Samsung has signed a deal with Gaikai to use the California-based firm's streaming technology to its upcoming smart TV range. If reports are to be informed, Gaikai will facilitate Samsung’s smart TV users to play titles written for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 without having to own one of the consoles.
Besides available games, users of Samsung smart TV will also get a tool from the TV hub to purchase games.
It is reportedly said that the tie-up between Samsung and Gaikai has been announced at the E3 games trade show held in Los Angeles.
David Perry, Chief Executive Officer, Gaikai has stated, the company will turn Samsung Smart TVs into a console-like experience capable of delivering the best-selling video games and other content instantly to consumers. Users need not to do any downloads and no extra hardware is required for this.
A spokesperson from Samsung has informed our team that the service would be made available on its Smart Hub environment on high-end televisions released this year.
