Mobile Commerce is the next zing thing as users find it comfortable to order their requisites through their handhelds. This option is gaining momentum and analysts are forecasting its upward revisions.
According to a recent study conducted by e-commerce company eBay, 70 percent smartphone users access online shopping websites through their phones. The report also states that over 85 percent of Indians now use their smartphones to shop as well as compare prices.
The findings of the report also suggest that, mobile shopping is the third-most popular topic of search among smartphone users after email and social networking sites. To the user’s surprise, gadgets are the most popular category among online buyers. As far as device makers are concerned, online survey of 4,500 samples also revealed that Samsung and Nokia are the preferred customer choices followed by iPhone.
It is estimated, by the end of 2012, about half of well recognized retailers will turn up into mobile Web sites.

Market watchers believe, the increased adoption of Smartphones capable of Web browsing is the key driver to m-commerce adoption.
