According to a latest update, Shubhomoy Biswas, Country Director--India and SAARC of SonicWall has left the company. SonicWall is a security vendor that specializes in firewalls, network security and anti spam systems. If reports are to be believed, July 31 was the last day of Biswas at SonicWall.
It is reportedly said that Biswas was responsible for the sales, service and operations in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
However, enterprise partners have not received any official statement from SonicWall or Dell yet on Biswas’s exit from the company.
Market experts believe, Biswas’ exit has come at a crucial stage as the security vendor SonicWall was recently acquired by Dell for a sum of US$1.25 billion. Dell has acquired SonicWall with an aim to beef up its security offerings. After Sonicwall’s buyout, numerous Dell resellers started selling SonicWall enterprise at a cheaper rate, which has resulted to an aggressive price war in the market.
As far as Biswas’ replacement in SonicWall is concerned, there is still no clue on, who would head the channel business for SonicWall (which is now a part of Dell) after Biswas’ exit.
