Symantec has reportedly appointed Anand Naik as the new Managing Director, Sales, India and Saarc. As per latest chunk of information, Naik has replaced Ajay Goel who is serving his notice period in the company. Goel has decided to leave Symantec to pursue career aspirations outside Symantec.
Sources informed Naik has been serving Symantec for over six years and most recently served as Director, Technology Sales, India and Saarc and Director, Sales, West Region, Symantec.
Before joining, Symantec, Naik worked with IBM as Head, Solution Architects Team where he was responsible for developing strategic sales, architecture and technical leadership for IBM’s Global System Integrators.
According to Eric Hoh, Vice President, Asia South Region, Symantec, Anand is no stranger to Symantec. Under his leadership, the company is confident that its India customers and partners will continue to enjoy the confidence of transacting with Symantec to protect and manage their information assets in future.
Ananad Naik has also shared his views, he is extremely happy to take up this responsibility of leading the India business. There are significant opportunities for Symantec at a time when organizations in India are confronting massive growth in information, security threats and disruptive technology transformations like mobility and cloud computing.
