Seems, IT hiring is going to scale new heights in India in FY12-13. According to a latest update, country's biggest IT company Tata Consultancy Services is planning to hire some 60,000 freshers during the current fiscal.
It is reportedly said that TCS has already made campus offers to 43,604 students across 389 colleges for fiscal 2013.
Latest stats revealed, the number of non-Indian employees among TCS's total employees has grown to 7.3 percent during 2011-12, from 6.9 percent in 2010-11 and 5.9 percent in 2009-10.
Presently, TCS has a total of 17,328 non-Indian employees. To the reader’s surprise, the number is a quantum above from 9,536 in 2010.The growth figures clearly indicate that TCS’s focus is on localization of talent.
The company had a talent retention rate of 87.8 percent during the last fiscal, which is the highest in the Indian IT industry.
As far as TCS's payout ratio is concerned, it is steadily increasing over the years. It has reached to 37.2 percent in 2011-12 from 27.6 percent in 2004-05.
Seems, coming year for Indian IT industry is definitely going to be aggressive on recruitments; a good news for job seekers.
