Toshiba is expecting a robust growth in Indian LED TV market. According to a latest update, Toshiba has asserted its aim to dominate the LED TV market in India, with the launch of its new ‘Thinking LED’ range powered by the revolutionary REGZA Engine.
With this launch, the company has widened its LED TV portfolio to 22 models, with the screen sizes ranging from 48 cm (19) to 140 cm (55), available between Rs. 10,000 – Rs 12,00,000, sources informed.
It is reportedly said that Toshiba’s new the ‘Thinking LED’ campaign will enable the company to register an overall 15% market share in FY2013 in the flat panel TV segment in India.
Commenting at the event, Mr. Tengguo Wu, Director, DS Division, Toshiba India has stated the LED TV market in India, though witnessing a steep growth, is still at a nascent stage. With company’s plans to achieve the number one position in LED TV market, they want to be at the forefront of driving the transition from the traditional CRTs or LCD TVs to LED TVs.
Toshiba's Thinking LED Range includes RZ1 (the first large-screen Glasses-free 3D TV), RW1 (where Japanese Technology meets Jacob Jensen Design), PX200 (which is an Internet TV featuring Toshiba places), PT200 (the Full HD LED TV powerhouse), PS 200 (edge LED TV with High Efficiency Speakers), PU200 Edge LED TV with 28 Format Movie Playback through USB and PB200 (which direct LED TV with Power Bass Booster).
