After a big round of discussions and delays, Microsoft has finally made an official announcement that the next-generation operating system for PCs, tablets and laptops, Windows 8 would be available to users on October 26.
It is reportedly said that the new software by Microsoft is reportedly narrowing the gap between tablets and traditional PCs and allowing users to enjoy best of both the worlds. Versions of Windows 8 have been tailored for chips that are being used to power various mobile devices. Microsoft is also ensuring to get a flawless Cloud experience which will keep Windows 8 devices synced with the new operating system windows 8.
Let’s check some other intuitive Windows 8 features that may compel users to opt for it:
Windows app store: Seems, Microsoft is in no mood to give any edge to its rivals including Apple and Android. To counter its arch rivals, Windows 8 comprises a new app store.
Picture passwords: To permit better security options, Microsoft has used a new system that integrates images and gestures for user authentication. It's simple to users; they first need to select an image to perform a gesture. The gesture can be tapping on some specific portion in the picture, encircling something, or drawing a line between two points in the image.
Automatic updates: With Windows 8, users will no longer be frustrated by those frequent warnings that frequently inform a system that it has been updated and needs to be restarted. With the latest OS, Windows Update (WU) will combine all the restarts in a month into one single restart for enhanced user’s experience.
Well! Whether or not, users will accept Windows 8 powered tablets, it is difficult to say anything before actual launch of any Windows 8 powered tablet.
For the time being, Best Of Luck for Microsoft.
