The National Stadium is Poland's most prestigious facility of those specially built for the EURO 2012. It has been designed in accordance with the strictest requirements of UEFA for "Elite" category stadia. It is the largest building of its kind in Poland. For international competition, the telecommunication and IT infrastructure had to be the best around. Passive component suppliers had to fulfill special requirements. A very important issue for the planners was to meet the environmental conditions prevailing at the stadia as much of the cabling is located outside. Cat. 6 Real10 cable was used wherever the distance was below 100 meters. It supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Applications located further away such as cameras, screens, some access points and control systems are connected via FO duplex connections with SCRJ/APC connectors. These connectors are characterized not only by top performance but are also able to ensure environmental protection up to IP67 level which in terms of the stadium was crucial.
