Alpha Software debuted a new simplified licensing plan that reduces costs for developers and businesses that need to widely distribute their Alpha Five applications. The company also introduced a new educational pricing plan for schools that offer courses based on Alpha Five, saving them up to 94 percent off MSRP.
The new Alpha Five Version 9 Unlimited Distribution License allows desktop and Web developers to distribute their applications to an unlimited number of customers, without having to worry about counting seats, concurrent users, or licenses; and without having to update contracts or manage license compliance. For Web developers, the cost is just $699 per server. For desktop developers, the cost is $999 per network.
Make an unlimited number of copies of the application, including trial and demo copies.
Develop an unlimited number of applications, each of which can be distributed freely, without limitations.
Work with DBF or SQL servers, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, Access, etc.
Use the included installer for building a custom setup program. Protect source code and restrict users from editing the underlying application.
Empower users to create and edit their own reports, labels, and letters. Create customized splash screens that appear when the software loads and much more.
In addition to the new Unlimited Distribution License, Alpha Software also introduced a steeply discounted license for students, educators, and educational institutions that are using or adopt Alpha Five as part of a curriculum. The Alpha Five Educational Curriculum License provides 50 concurrent seats for a flat annual fee of $700, or $15 per student per year. That’s almost 94 percent off the MSRP of Alpha Five Platinum. Any accredited educational institution qualifies.
