D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumer and business, today announced it has issued an open Letter of Supply to Tech Data Corporation to sell its TAA-compliant products to government resellers who will offer the products on their GSA schedule.

The five-year contract will provide approved government resellers with the ability to purchase D-Link products through Tech Data. This will allow Tech Data's government reseller customers to easily add D-Link products to federal and state contracts. Included in the product line-up are D-Link's full lines of TAA-compliant networking solutions, including the energy efficient Green switches.

D-Link Green Ethernet technology integrates innovative power-saving feature that automatically detects link status along with cable length and adjusts power accordingly. Incorporating the new energy-saving technology are the D-Link Web Smart 16-Port, the 24-Port and the 48-Port network switches.

Commenting on this update, Tech Data Vice President, Government, Technical and Integration Services Barb Miller said "Tech Data supports public-sector IT resellers through TechEDG government and education services team. By providing Tech Data with this letter of supply, D-Link gives resellers greater flexibility and more options as they bid on and pursue the demand for networking solutions in the government market."
