Google Pixel and Pixel XL available for sale in India- EMI and other offers


Google, the mega search engine giant, has finally made the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones available on pre-order in India through online e-commerce site, Flipkart. However, the portal has only three variants up for the pre-sale – the 32GB and 128GB for Pixel, and 128GB for Pixel XL only. The three models would only be available in Quite Black colour as of now. Further details on whether the company is planning to make the Pixel XL 32GB and the Very Silver colour available, not known as of now.

Both Android 7.1 Nougat-based Pixel and Pixel XL can be purchased through zero cost/no interest EMIs, exchange offers, or by opting for EVGs (Electronic Gift Vouchers).

Google Pixel 32GB costs Rs 57,000, the 128GB variant costs Rs 66,000.

Pixel XL 128GB on the other hand is priced at Rs 76,000.

All three smartphone listings are currently showing a delivery date of around October 25. However, the date can fluctuate as per the address pin code entered.

They can opt for the exchange offer, where they would have to trade their old handsets at an amount pre-decided by the ecommerce platform, Flipkart, and then pay the remaining amount.

As per the e-tailer, users can get up to Rs 27,000 off in the exchange offer. For instance while trading handsets, such as Nexus 6P, OnePlus 3, Apple iPhone 6s Plus, and Sony Xperia Z5, users can obtain Pixel 128GB (Rs 66,000) for Rs 53,550, Rs 54,450, Rs 39,050, and Rs 52,850 respectively. However, Moto Z, Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus are not included in the exchange offer list.

Phone Description

Pixel XL features a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) resolution AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It also has an integrated Nexus Imprint fingerprint sensor at the back. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 4GB RAM and comes in two storage variants – 32GB and 128GB. It also has an 8MP front-facing camera powered by Sony IMX179 sensor and a 12.3MP rear camera with Sony IMX378 sensor, f/2.0 aperture. The handset is backed by a 3,450mAh battery and comes with single speaker placed at the bottom.

As for Pixel, the handset features a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution AMOLED display and is backed by a 2770mAh battery with fast charging technology. The remaining specifications stay the same as that of Pixel XL.
