As per One Plus General manger– India Vikas Agarwal ,OnePlus is gearing up to open its first global experience store in India .This is because as consumers like to “touch and feel” the product before they decide to make a purchase. One more important point that Mr. Agarwal mentioned was that OnePlus will continue with Online-only model for sales.
The experience outlet proposed here is expected to be sized about 14,000 square feet in India’s Silicon Valley Bengaluru. This outlet will only cater to experience facility for consumers. For those who would like to buy the handsets will have to go to Amazon only. This step is taken by OnePlus as they do not want to let go of the pricing advantage an online brand enjoys because of a lower distribution cost.
As per the General Manager this store will be first of its kind reiterating importance India as a market has for One Plus brand.
Basis the success of the maiden outlet One Plus plans to increase/expand number of experience stores. This effort is also seen in sync with local manufacturing of One Plus3 through Foxconn from the nest quarter.
